Employment Information Current Openings:
Industrial Hygienist (mid-level): The candidate will help manage multiple projects, ensure technical quality, meet deadlines and assist in the production of final, technical reports. A key function of this position includes very strong verbal, electronic, and written communication and computer skills, and especially technical writing. The candidate will develop and prepare proposals for specific projects, and participate in business development, marketing and client presentations. The position requires travel throughout the state and occasionally out of state. The candidate must have a good driving record and be a non-smoker. Work references, background check and drug-screening will be required. The candidate must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift 30 pounds, enter confined spaces and wear an air purifying respirator. Salary is dependent on experience. Health insurance with co-pay, dental and vision insurance, vacation, sick leave and holiday pay, and a Simple IRA retirement plan are included for this position.
Asbestos, Lead and Industrial Hygiene Technician: Temporary, variable hours (~20-40 hours/week) but with a potential to develop into full time: Immediate opening for an asbestos, lead and industrial hygiene technician. The technician will support a comprehensive Industrial Hygiene consulting firm in providing services to a wide variety of clients with ~80% of time anticipated to be field work. A substantial amount of the work will be related to asbestos, but also lead, training, and general industrial hygiene. Current AHERA (asbestos), lead and OSHA construction safety certificates are a plus, although we will provide relevant training courses as appropriate. Prefer college degree in a science field and/or two years of experience in the environmental, health and safety field. The candidate will conduct field work per company policies and may assist in the production of final, technical reports. Strong verbal, written and computer communication skills are required.
