Exposure Monitoring at Metal and Non-Metal Mines
Mine Safety and Health

Our team of experienced Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and technical personnel can perform exposure monitoring at metal and nonmetal mines and assist mine operators to develop or maintain the MSHA required health and safety programs. Exposure monitoring programs can help to ensure that miners are not overexposed to harmful contaminants including respirable dust containing crystalline silica, gas, mist and fumes, or noise, that could lead to occupational  disease.

Quantitative fit testing (QNFT) of respirators for workers:

IHR staff can quantitatively measure the fit of the personal respirator for the worker, and if the respirator does not fit, offer alternative choices to identify the best respirator for that individual.
